Born and raised in New York, Valerie Romas graduated with honors from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She started her career working in Manhattan at buying offices, showrooms and retailers. Working her way up, she soon became a traveling Visual Merchandiser for Federated Department Stores, which included all of the Stern's Department Stores on Long Island.

After a move to Tampa Florida, Valerie's career blossomed as she began working for Saks Fifth Ave, then freelancing for Gucci. Soon after, she joined Neiman Marcus and worked as their Visual Stylist for eight years. Valerie also worked in conjunction with Neiman’s Public Relations Department, styling the fashion for runway shows and fundraisers, such as Fashion Funds the Cure 2013 and City: Fashion, Art, Culture Event at The Tampa Museum of Art. Valerie was also the stylist for The United Way Suncoast’s Art of Giving Event in 2014, where she worked alongside “Project Runway’s” Tim Gunn.

In 2013, Valerie started her own company, One2styleu. She was chosen to style “Revelations from the Runway” fashion show at The Tampa Bay Yacht Club, where she presented Spring 2015 trends, highlighting clothing from local Tampa boutiques. Valerie's work can also be seen in the pages of Bay Magazine, a publication of the Tampa Bay Times and the Holiday Issue of The Washington Post Magazine, 2015.

Clients have remarked they were at first intimidated to approach a personal stylist but once meeting Valerie they felt like they made a new friend. Her warm and creative approach can turn anyone's closet into something trendy and fun.
